                                                                                                <abstract><p>AmaçAmiodaron (AD), benzofuran türevi, yapısal olaraktiroksine benzeyen lipofilik bir anti-aritmik ajandır.Waughn-Williams ilaç sınıflandırma sisteminde, sınıfIII potasyum kanal blokeri olarak ventriküler taşikarditiplerine ve atriyal fibrilasyona karşı kullanılan ilaçlardanbiridir. Gilaburu (Viburnum opulus L.) dünyadaAvrasya ve Kuzey Afrika’da ormanların çevresinde veyurdumuzda en yaygın olarak Kayseri ilinde bulunanve tıbbi kullanış amacına sahip olan kırmızı, üzümsü,bir meyvedir. Gilaburu (GL) içerdiği organik asitlerle,fenolik bileşiklerle, çeşitli aminoasitlerle, vitaminlerleyüksek anti-oksidatif, anti-proliferatif, anti-inflamatuvaretkinliğinin olduğu birçok çalışmada gösterilmiştir.Çalışmamızda; amiodaronun rat akciğer dokusu üzerindeoluşturduğu toksisite üzerine gilaburunun koruyucuetkinliğinin olup olmadığını incelemeyi amaçladık.Gereç ve YöntemÇalışmada 32 adet 300-350 gr ağırlığında erkek Wistarcinsi rat rastgele seçilerek, Kontrol, AD verilengrup, AD+GL verilen grup, GL verilen grup şeklinde 4gruba ayrılmıştır. Deneyde 10 gün süre boyunca ratlaraip olarak 100 mg/kg AD, oral gavaj yoluyla 100 mg/kg gilaburu toz meyve ekstraktı serum fizyolojik içindeçözdürülerek verilmiştir. Deney sonunda akciğer dokularıalınarak immonuhistokimyasal ve histokimyasaltekniklerle incelenmiştir.BulgularYapılan histokimyasal incelemelerde AD grubuna aitakciğer dokularında oluşan hasarlanmaya karşın,kombine grupta hasarın azaldığı gözlendi. İmmunohistokimyasalboyama (TNF-α ve iNOS) sonucundada AD grubunda boyanmanın fazla, kombine gruptaboyanmanın daha az olduğu gözlenmiştir.SonuçSonuç olarak Amiodaronun oluşturduğu akciğer hasarınakarşı gilaburunun koruyucu etkisinin olduğunudüşünmekteyiz.</p></abstract>

                            <p>ObjectiveAmiodarone (AD) is a benzofuran derivative, a lipophilicanti-arrhythmic agent structurally similar tothyroxine. It is one of the drugs used against ventriculartachycardia types and atrial fibrillation as a class IIIpotassium channel blocker in the Waughn-Williamsdrug classification system. Gilaburu (Viburnum opulusL.) is a red, berry-like fruit that is found around theforests in Eurasia and North Africa in the world andmost commonly in Kayseri province in our country andhas medicinal uses. Many studies has been shownGilaburu (GL) to high antioxidative, antiproliferative,anti-inflammatory activity with the contain organicacids, phenolic compounds, various amino acidsand vitamins. In our study, we aimed to investigatedwhether gilaburu has a protective effect on the toxicityof amiodarone on rat lung tissue.Material and MethodsIn the study, 32 male Wistar rats weighing 300-350g were randomly selected and divided 4 groups as,Control, AD, AD+GL and GL group. In the experiment,100 mg/kg AD was administered ip to rats for 10 days,and 100 mg/kg gilaburu powdered fruit extract wasdissolved in physiological saline by oral gavage. At theend of the experiment, lung tissues were taken andexamined by immunohistochemical and histochemicaltechniques.ResultsIn the histochemical examinations, it was observedthat the damage occurred in the lung tissues of theAD group, but the damage decreased in the combinedgroup. As a result of immunohistochemical staining(TNF-α and iNOS), it was observed that the stainingwas more in the AD group and less in the combinedgroup.ConclusionAs a result, we think that gilaburu has a protectiveeffect against lung damage caused by Amiodarone.</p></trans-abstract>
