Biomechanics and motion analysis are among thefields that are gaining importance day by day bysports physicians. Motion analysis systems examinethe effects of biological tissue as a result of differentmotion patterns and put this effect into data. In thelight of these data, the clinician can resort to moreeffective methods in the prevention, treatment orrehabilitation of injury before and after injury.Professional athletes and individuals interested inrecreational sports often participate in activities thatinvolve throwing and running. The throwing actionconsists of 4 phases and the correction of technicalerrors during this action is of great importance,especially in the prevention and treatment of upperextremity injuries. The act of running consists of5 phases and its biomechanical examination isimportant in the prevention and treatment of lowerextremity injuries. The aim of this review is to presentthe motion analysis systems, upper extremity andlower extremity biomechanics, which are frequentlyused in sports medicine practice, to the reader in thelight of current information.
</trans-abstract>
