Complete ophthalmicexaminations were performed. Finger-type pulse oximetrymeasurements were used to assess the oxygensaturation also and Angiovue OCTA used for vasculardensity measurements before and after 4 hours ofcontinuous N95 mask wear. Participants were instructednot to remove their masks during this period. Macularand optic disc vessel densities were evaluatedusing OCTA before and immediately after mask applicationand removal.ResultsOf the 19 participants, 15 were female and 4 weremale. The mean age was 36,64 ± 9,3 years. The Snellen-Corrected visual acuity was 20/20 in all eyes, andintraocular pressure measurements were within normallimits. Oxygen saturation was 97,94% ± 0,8 beforeN95 mask wear, and 96,14% ± 1,8 after four hours ofmask application. Significant increase in central macularthickness (CMT) (p</p></trans-abstract>
