Dermatoloji alanındaki hastalıkların çeşitliliği yüzünden çoğu kez hekimler bu hastalıkların teşhis ve tedavisi için bilimsel uğraş vermek durumunda kalmışlardır. Aynı durum yine dermatolojik bir hastalık olarak kabul edilen Psöriazis için de geçerlidir. Psöriazis'e ilişkin yakın döneme ait bilimsel ve tarihsel literatürü incelerken pek çok bilim insanı arasında Prof. Dr. Cevat Kerim İncedayı ve Prof. Dr. Bertha Ottenstein isimlerine rastlamaktayız. Bunlardan Dr. Cevat Kerim İncedayı ünlü Türk dermatologu Prof. Dr. Hulusi Behcet'ten sonra gelen yeni jenerasyonun temsilcisidir. Dr. Bertha Ottenstein ise Almanya'dan ülkemize davet üzerine göç eden ve bir süre burada hizmet veren, Almanya'nın ilk kadın dermatoloji doçentidir. Makalemizde bu iki dermatologun kısa biyografisine, psöriazis hastalığına getirmiş oldukları bakış açılarına ait çalışmalarına kısaca değineceğiz.
Due to an array of disorders in the field of dermatology, physicians very often go through scientific endeavors to diagnose and treat the disorders. This same rule applies to the dermatological disorder named Psoriasis. As we look at the contemporary scientific and historical writings on Psoriasis, we come across to the names of Prof. Dr. Cevat Kerim Incedayi and Assoc. Prof. Bertha Ottenstein within a wide canon of scholars. Dr. Incedayi is the new generations representative following the footsteps of the renowned Turkish dermatologist Prof. Dr. Hulusi Behcet. Whereas Dr. Bertha Ottenstein, who had immigrated to our country on an invitation and given her services for a period of time is considered Germanys first female associate professor of dermatology. In our article, we will shortly touch on these two dermatologists brief biographies as well as their point of views on psoriasis disorder.
