Anatomi eğitimi için yapılan rutin diseksiyonlar sırasında, 75 yaşındaki erkek kadavrada a. hepatica dextra ve sinistra'nın varyasyonları görüldü. Çift a. hepatica sinistra a. hepatica communis'ten çıkarken, a. hepatica dextra a. mesentarica superior'dan çıkmakta idi. A. hepatica'ların anatomik varyasyonlarının bilinmesi özellikle; görüntüleme yöntemleri, girişimsel işlemler ve cerrahideki komplikasyonların azaltılması bakımından çok önemlidir.
