Tracheal injuries, although uncommon, are yet veryimportant since they can lead to immediate death. With the improvement ofprehospital medical care the incidence is expected to increase in time. Bluntor penetrating trauma, iatrogenic causes, strangulation, burns and causticmaterial ingestion give rise to tracheal injuries. Management is eitherconservative or surgical. Mainstay of the tracheal injuries is suspicion, earlydiagnosis and prompt management.
