Theanimals were randomly distributed into two groups as first week group and thirdweek group. This two groups were subdivided into two subgroups as control andPRP.Results:According to the histopathologic scoring results, in first week groupstatistically significant difference was observed in term of inflammationseverity between PRP and control subgroups (p =0.009). Nostatistically significant difference was observed between the other groups interms of mucosal edema severity, loss of cilia degree between ciliarycells, fibrosis severity, goblet cell hyperplasia, inflammation severity, congestionand squamous metaplasia. Conclusion: Our results show that PRP reduces inflammation in early stages ofwound healing. We believe further more studies are needed to understand the effectsof PRP on nasal mucosal wound healing.</p>
