                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışma, Arı Kovanının Ruhu (El Espíritu de la Colmena, 1973) filmindeki imgelerin anlamlarını veyönetmen Victor Erice’nin ima etiği düşünceleri araştırmaktadır. Filmde iç savaş sonrasında İspanya’da,bir ailenin yaşamından kesit sunulmaktadır. Kastilya kırsalında geçen öyküde, Ana adlı bir çocuğunçevresinde karşılaştığı nesne, kişi ve durumları keşfetmesi, ailedeki bireylerin duyguları işlenmektedir.Film, arı kovanı ve Frankenstein gibi metafor simgelerle tarihteki bazı resim, film ve öykülere atıfta bulunur.Ailenin yaşadığı evdeki Barok dönemi tabloları, yönetmenin gelenekle bağı ve örtük düşünceleriolduğunu göstermektedir. Filmdeki anlamların ve yönetmenin düşüncelerinin kavranabilmesi için, sanatve düşünce tarihine yönelik araştırmalar gerektiren Panofsky’nin ikonolojik çözümleme yöntemindenyararlanılmıştır. İlk bölümde filmde dikkat çeken bazı imge ve ifadeler seçilmiş, bunların ikonografikçözümlemesi yapılmıştır. Sonraki aşamada filmde ima edilen bazı kavramlar ve yönetmenin bukavramlarla ilişkili düşünceleri irdelenmiştir. Filmde kullanılan simgeler, analojiler ve metaforlar üzerindenbaşlatılan araştırmanın sonunda, dayanışmacı toplumsal yapılanmayı temsil eden kovan metaforununçeşitli toplumsal anlamları da tartışılmıştır. Filmde kullanılan imge ve şiirsel ifadelerden yola çıkılarakyönetmenin resim, şiir, öykü ve filmlerdeki atıfları araştırılmıştır. Yönetmen, izleyiciyi resim, edebiyat,sinema, kültürel entomoloji ve mekân tasarımı konularında araştırma yapmaya yöneltmektedir. Buyazı, filmin renginden, ışığından, dokusundan, duygu penceresinden ve meselesinden başlayarak sanattarihine, kültürel entomolojiye ve mimarlığa uzanan bir değerlendirme sunmaktadır.&amp;nbsp;</p></abstract>

                            <p>This study investigates the meanings of the images in The Spirit of the Beehive (El Espíritu de laColmena,1973) and the ideas of the director Victor Erice implicit in the film. The film deals with the lifeof a family in Spain after the Civil War. The story is about a young girl, Ana, and her family members,who live in the rural part of Castilla. Ana discovers some objects, personalities and situations in hersurroundings, like the beehive, the film Frankenstein, and other metaphors and symbols that refer tocertain paintings, films and stories in history. The Baroque paintings in the house, for example, revealthe director’s link to tradition. In order to understand the meanings in the film, and the ideas of thedirector, this study employs the iconological analysis method of Panofsky. In the first part, the articleprovides an iconographic analysis of images and expressions. Then it investigates the implicit conceptsof the film and related ideas of the director. It concludes with a discussion of other interpretations ofthe beehive metaphor, which is usually regarded as a motif of the solidarity in social organisation. Thediscussion of Victor Erice’s references to painting, literature, cinema, cultural entomology, and spatialdesign, elucidates the color, light, texture, emotional frame, and problematics of the film.&amp;nbsp;</p></trans-abstract>
