The movement, initiated in Sweden in 2014, has grown internationally, advocating for aesthetically pleasing architecture and challenging contemporary architectural practices. This research focuses on the subgroup &quot;Stop Ugly New Buildings in Our Cities - Architecture Shaming!&quot; to understand the nature of public critiques. By manually scraping 369 posts, we collected data on user interactions, post types, and content details. A qualitative content analysis was conducted on posts with 80 or more comments, categorizing critiques into aesthetical, functional, and sentimental dimensions. Our findings reveal that the majority of posts focus on aesthetic criticisms, with limited discussion on functional or sentimental aspects. This highlights the movement&#039;s emphasis on visual appeal over practical considerations. The study also examines the role of social media in facilitating civic engagement and democratizing architectural discourse. By providing a platform for public participation, Architectural Uprising challenges traditional top-down decision-making in urban design, fostering a more inclusive dialogue about the built environment. This research contributes to understanding how digital platforms can influence public perceptions and engagement in architectural and urban issues.</p>
