This article is produced from Machiavelli's thesis of Ethics of Religion. The religious critique of Niccolo dia Bernardo dei Machiavelli, which is in agreement with the political and religious structure of the classical tradition with his thoughts and works, is discussed. Machiavelli is known as the author, philosopher and politician of his time. Machiavelli, who has succeeded to make his voice heard in many areas, has gained a place in the minds of the reader. In particular, the concept of Machiavellian, which emerged with the idea that way all kinds of paths for purpose are possible, him made him even more lively.
Machiavelli cited the Catholic Church as the sole responsible for the endless wars between the principalities on the territory of Italy and the weakness of Italy in the face of external forces. According to Machiavelli, the dominant power of the period, the Catholic Church should not put any effort for Italy, and the repression of the Catholic Church on the state administration should be ended. Italy has tried to leave the Catholic Church, which caused principals and civil wars within the state itself, to reduce the influence of religious policy. Because according to him, the political power of the state itself is not the Catholic church. Unlike classical tradition, it offered to the protection of religious politics. For Machiavelli, religion is an indispensable tool for the existence and order of politics. The main purpose of Machiavelli's critique of religion is to examine Machiavelli's view of religion and the reasons that lead to it.
