Araştırma bulguları, BEGEP'in çiftlerin birlikte ebeveynlik düzeyleri üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi olduğunu göstermiştir.

In this study, the effect of the Transition to Coparenting Program (BEGEP) on the coparenting relationships of married, cohabiting couples who were expecting their first baby was examined. In the study, experimental design was used, and pretest, posttest and follow-up measurements were taken from the control and experimental groups. The study was conducted with the participation of 35 couples living in the central district of a province in western Türkiye. The mean age and duration of marriage (years) of the participants were 30.19 and 2.62, respectively. BEGEP was developed as an evidence-based intervention program aiming to help coparenting couples establish and improve their coparenting relationship and consisted of a total of 5 modules. Repeated Measures ANOVA test was used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that the intervention program had a significant effect on the coparenting levels of the couples. On the other hand, it was determined that the BEGEP did not have a significant effect on the participants' romantic relationship quality, depression and anxiety levels. In conclusion, the efficacy of the BEGEP was tested empirically and it was found to have a positive effect on couples' coparenting. In this regard, it is recommended that experts working in the field of family education within the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Health, and municipalities implement BEGEP and introduce and disseminate the concept of coparenting.
