<p>The rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies is profoundly affecting legal professions and legal education. As digitalisation transforms the nature of disputes as well as methods of dispute resolution, the knowledge and skills expected from lawyers are also being reshaped. This transformation requires not merely the addition of new courses, but a comprehensive reconsideration of both the content and methods of legal education. Nevertheless, the general principles of law and methods of legal interpretation, which constitute the core of legal reasoning, remain indispensable in the digital age. The increasing use of AI-supported systems necessitates a form of legal reasoning that goes beyond the mechanical application of rules and enables lawyers to critically assess AI outputs and ensure their responsible use. In this context, the article examines the need to redesign legal education by integrating digitalisation and artificial intelligence into the curriculum in a holistic manner, while keeping fundamental legal principles at its centre and strengthening practice-oriented, student-centred approaches as well as alternative dispute resolution methods.</p></trans-abstract>
