Araştırma, Kahramanmaraş depremleri sonrası okul çağında çocuğu olan annelerin deprem sonrası yaşam deneyimlerini anlama amacıyla nitel araştırma yöntemine uygun olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada kartopu örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmış ve 13 özne ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları aracılığıyla görüşmeler sağlanmıştır. Veri analizi sürecinde tematik analiz yöntemi ve nitel veri analizi programı MAXQDA kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; yaşanan deprem sürecinin anneler ve aileler üzerinde psikolojik, ekonomik, sosyal, akademik gibi çok boyutlu yansımalarının olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yine psikolojik yansımalar ile baş etme sürecinde annelerin çoğunluğunun “güç, güçlü olma, mücadele” algılarına bağlı olarak profesyonel destek almadıkları belirlenmiştir. Depremin çocuklar üzerinde çok boyutlu yansımalarının olduğu, depremzede annelerin “kadın” ve “anne” olmaları ile ihtiyaçlarının fazla olduğu ve yoğun sorumluluk duygusu yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir.
The research was carried out in accordance with the qualitative research method in order to understand the post-earthquake life experiences of mothers with school-age children after the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Snowball programming method was used in the research and semi-learned interview forms were conducted with 13 subjects. Thematic analysis method and qualitative data analysis program MAXQDA were used in the data analysis process. As a result of the research; It has been determined that the earthquake process had multidimensional reflections on mothers and families, such as psychological, economic, social and academic. It was also determined that the majority of mothers did not receive professional support during the process of coping with psychological reflections due to their perception of "power, being powerful, struggle". It has been determined that the earthquake had multi-dimensional reflections on children, and that mothers who were affected by the earthquake had high needs as they were "women" and "mothers" and experienced an intense sense of responsibility.
