Our study aimed to determine the degrees of cynicism and relevant factors among medical students enrolled in a university for five years. Methods: The population of this cross-sectional descriptive study comprised students enrolled in the first five years of the Faculty of Medicine. The online questionnaire used in the study consisted of 37 questions. We collected our data by administering the participants the “Cynical Attitudes Toward College Scale,” a 5-point Likert-type questionnaire with five groups composed of eleven questions related to their socio-demographic characteristics, three on their health status, five on the faculty, and eighteen on the educational institution. The analyses were performed using the SPSS 17.0 package software. Results: The study included 342 students. The mean score was 54.6 ± 10.4. The multiple analysis revealed higher mean scores among male students, students who selected medical school under the influence of others, students who consumed alcohol, students with poor relationships with faculty members, and students with moderate or poor relationships with administrative staff (p</p>
