Regarding the cooperation between Polish clothing manufacturers and research centres the most urgently needed areanthropometric studies of the population and permanent improvement of managers’ knowledge. The article has two parts. Part onediscusses the existing anthropometric tables in Poland, presents modern ways of carrying out new surveys and provides grounds for thisaction. Part two explains in the context of markets Europeization why managers have to expand their knowledge resources and outlinesthe main points where the knowledge is subject to verification
