Bu çalışma, Marmara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Vakfı tarafından yayımlanan ve hadislerin meâl yorumuna dâhil edilmesi yöntemini benimseyen Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yaşar Kandemir, Yrd. Doç. Dr. Halit Zavalsız ve Ümit Şimşek imzalı Kur’ân-ı Kerîm Meâli’nin Fâtiha, Bakara, Âl-i İmrân ve Nisâ sûrelerine ait bölümlerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Söz konusu eser, Türkiye’deki meâl literatüründe hadisleri sistemli biçimde metne dahil etmesiyle farklı bir yaklaşım sunmakta ve “hadisli meâl” geleneğinin dikkate değer örneklerinden biri olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, İFAV Meâli’nin hadis merkezli yaklaşımını tercüme teknikleri açısından değerlendirmektir. Bu doğrultuda seçilen sûreler örneklem olarak alınmış ve eserin hem güçlü yönleri hem de eleştiriye açık tarafları analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma, meâl literatürüne hadis merkezli yaklaşımların tercüme teknikleri bakımından sağladığı katkıları ve ortaya çıkan sorunları göstermeyi, ayrıca ileride hazırlanacak meâl çalışmalarına metodolojik bir perspektif kazandırmayı hedeflemektedir. Sonuçlar, hadis merkezli meâl anlayışının Türk meâl literatüründe önemli bir boşluğu doldurduğunu ve gelecekteki çalışmalar için değerli bir referans oluşturduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.
This study aims to examine the sections of Surahs Al-Fatiha, Al-Baqarah, Al-Imran, and An-Nisa in the Qur’ān Translation published by the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Foundation, authored by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yaşar Kandemir, Asst. Prof. Dr. Halit Zavalsız, and Ümit Şimşek, which adopts a method of incorporating hadiths into the translation commentary. The work presents a distinctive approach in the Turkish translation literature by systematically integrating hadiths into the text, thus standing out as a notable example of the “hadith-inclusive translation” tradition. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the hadith-centered approach of the IFAV Translation from the perspective of translation techniques. Accordingly, the selected surahs were analyzed to highlight both the strengths and the aspects open to critique in the translation. The study demonstrates the contributions and challenges of hadith-centered approaches to Qur’ān translation techniques and aims to provide a methodological perspective for future translation projects. The findings indicate that this hadith-inclusive approach fills a significant gap in Turkish translation literature and offers a valuable reference for scholars and translators, emphasizing the importance of integrating prophetic traditions in understanding and conveying the meaning of the Qur’ān.
