Abstract

 İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Biyoloji Bölümü’nün yıkılıp yeniden inşası yapılacağından, Zooloji Müzesi örneklerinin taşınması ve depolanması gerekmiştir. Müze örneklerinin neredeyse tamamı iskeletler, doldurulmuş hayvanlar, postlar ve koruyucu sıvı içinde bulunan örnekler gibi farklı biyolojik materyallerden oluşmaktadır. Bu nedenle müzedeki örneklerin sahip oldukları faklı fiziksel özellikler, taşıma sırasında çeşitli yöntemlerin geliştirilmesine neden olmuştur. Geliştirilen bu yöntemler sayesinde taşınma sürecinin hasarsız sonuçlanması sağlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Zooloji Müzesi’nin son taşınma sürecine ait kullanılan yöntemler sunulmaktadır.

Transport and storage techniques for the samples of the Istanbul University Zoology Museum (ZMUI)

Abstract

Zoological Museum samples had to be moved and stored, because of the Istanbul University, Science Faculty, Biology Department building will be rebuilt. Almost all of the museum samples consist of different biological materials such as skeletons, stuffed animals and specimens in fluid preservation. For this reason, the physical properties of the samples in the museum have led to the development of various methods during transport. Thanks to these developed methods, the destruction of the moving process is ensured. In this study, the methods used in the recent relocation process of the Zoology Museum of Istanbul University Science Faculty are presented.
