Güncel kılavuzlar ve dünyanın farklı ülkelerinde uygulanmış başarılı toplum temelli programlar, OED’lerin yaygınlaştırılmasının tek başına yeterli olmadığını; farkındalık çalışmaları, basitleştirilmiş eğitim modelleri, acil çağrı merkezleriyle entegrasyon ve gönüllü katılımı içeren çok bileşenli stratejilerin gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır. İzmir’de metro istasyonları başta olmak üzere yeni OED yerleşimleri umut verici bir gelişme olmakla birlikte, benzer uygulamaların eğitim ve farkındalık çalışmalarıyla desteklenmesi büyük önem taşımaktadır.</p>

<p>Early defibrillation is a key determinant of survival in cases of sudden cardiac arrest. Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are life-saving devices that enable early intervention by laypersons, even without prior training. Successful community-based AED programs implemented worldwide demonstrate that increasing AED availability alone is insufficient; effective outcomes require integrated strategies including public awareness campaigns, simplified training models, emergency dispatch guidance, and community volunteer involvement. Recent AED deployment in metro stations in İzmir represents a promising step; however, its impact will be maximized only if supported by comprehensive educational and awareness initiatives.</p></trans-abstract>
