A totalof63 phytoplankton species were identified. Phytoplankton was evaluatedaccording to sensitivespecies and pollution indicators in rivers. LakeEber was determined as eutrophic and sensitivearea according tophytoplankton functional groups and Q Index. The presence of phytobenthicmacroalgaewas detected only some sampling points in rivers. Therefore diatoms were usedasphytobenthos quality element. A total of 64 diatom species wereidentified and diatom indiceswere calculated. Concerning the phytobenthosassessment, IDP index ranged between 2 and 4,and ecological statuschanged between medium and very bad.</p>
