                                                                                                <abstract><p>Son yıllarda artan rekabet koşulları karşısında işletmelerinfaaliyetlerini sürdürebilmesinde işgörenler, kilit bir role sahiptir. Emekyoğun turizm sektöründe yer alan otel işletmelerinde bu rolü daha üstseviyelerde üstlenen işgörenlerin, iş tatmini ve işten ayrılma niyetleri de bubağlamda önem arz etmektedir. Sergilenen bu tutumlar ise temelde işgörenlerinkariyerleriyle ilgili aldıkları kararlarıyla ve kariyer sorunlarıyla yakındanilişkilidir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, otel işletmelerinde çalışan işgörenlerdekikariyer platosunun, işgörenlerin iş tatminine ve işten ayrılma niyetineetkisinin belirlenmesidir. Bu kapsamda İstanbul’daki beş yıldızlı otelişletmelerinde bir uygulama gerçekleştirilerek; işgörenlerdeki kariyer platosu,iş tatmini ve işten ayrılma niyetlerine ilişkin sonuçlar ortaya konulmaktadır.Katılımcıların ankete ilişkin verdikleri cevaplar; faktör analizi, güvenirlikanalizi, yüzde, frekans ve aritmetik ortalama değerleri, korelasyon analizi veregresyon analizi yöntemleri ile çözümlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göregenelde işgörenlerin, kariyer platosu algılamaları ve iş tatmin düzeylerininkararsız düzeyde; işten ayrılma niyetlerinin ise düşük düzeyde olduğubelirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya ilişkin geliştirilen hipotezlerin testine yönelik gerçekleştirilenanalizler sonucunda ise kariyer platosunun iş tatmini ve işten ayrılma niyetineetkisinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.</p></abstract>

                            <p>Because of the increasing competition in recent years, employees havean important role in enabling enterprises to carry on their activities. Inhotel enterprises in the labor-intensive tourism sector, employees undertakethis role at higher levels, in this context, their job satisfaction andturnover intention are also indicate importantance. These attitudes exhibitedare closely related to decisions made by employees about their careers andtheir career problems. In this scope, the aim of this study is to find out theeffect of the career plateau perceptions on job satisfaction and turnoverintention of the employees in hotel enterprises. Within this scope, the resultsof the employees’ career plateau perception, job satisfaction and turnoverintention are presented by carrying out a survey in five star hotel enterprisesin Istanbul. The participants’ answers were analyzed by employing factoranalysis, reliability analysis, percentage, frequency and mean values, correlationanalysis and regression analysis methods. According to the findings, it wasdetermined that employees’ perception on career plateaus and job satisfactionare ambivalent, the employees’ turnover intention on the other hand is low. Theresults of the analyses of the hypotheses of the study suggest that career plateauhave a significant effect on job satisfaction and turnover intention of thehotel employees.</p></trans-abstract>
