                            <p>This study investigates the views of special education teachers in TRNC on the use of assistive technology in special education classrooms. The study evaluates how demographic factors such as teachers&#039; professional seniority, level of education and their habits of using technology affect the use of assistive technology. Descriptive survey model was used and 106 special education teachers took part in the study. Data were collected with the &quot;Assistive Technology Use Questionnaire&quot;. The results revealed that teachers were mostly knowledgeable about assistive technologies, but they had various problems in accessing and using them. While smartphones and tablets are among the most frequently used assistive technologies, problems such as lack of technical support and lack of access to sufficient information are common. In addition, it was determined that professional experience was effective in teachers&#039; ability to select appropriate technologies for students&#039; needs. The research showed that teachers mostly think that technology supported education tools increase the learning speed and motivation of students. However, it is emphasised that they need expert support about the difficulties in accessing technologies and the effective use of these technologies in the classroom. The study draws attention to the importance of meeting the training and technical support needs of teachers for more efficient use of assistive technologies in special education.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                                            <abstract><p>Bu çalışma, KKTC&#039;deki özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin özel eğitim sınıflarında yardımcı teknoloji kullanımına ilişkin görüşlerini araştırmaktadır. Araştırma, öğretmenlerin mesleki kıdemi, eğitim düzeyi ve teknolojiyi kullanma alışkanlıkları gibi demografik faktörlerin yardımcı teknoloji kullanımını nasıl etkilediğini değerlendirmektedir. Betimsel tarama modeli kullanılan çalışmada, 106 özel eğitim öğretmeni yer almıştır. Veriler, “Yardımcı Teknoloji Kullanım Anketi” ile toplanmıştır. Sonuçlar, öğretmenlerin çoğunlukla yardımcı teknolojiler hakkında bilgi sahibi olduklarını, ancak teknolojilere erişim ve kullanımda çeşitli sorunlar yaşadıklarını ortaya koymaktadır. Akıllı telefonlar ve tabletler en sık kullanılan yardımcı teknolojiler arasında yer alırken, teknik destek eksikliği ve yeterli bilgiye ulaşamama gibi problemler yaygındır. Ayrıca, öğretmenlerin öğrencilerin ihtiyaçlarına uygun teknolojileri seçebilme becerilerinde mesleki deneyimin etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma, öğretmenlerin çoğunlukla teknoloji destekli eğitim araçlarının öğrencilerin öğrenme hızını ve motivasyonunu artırdığını düşündüklerini göstermiştir. Ancak, teknolojilere erişimde yaşanan güçlükler ve bu teknolojilerin sınıf içinde etkin kullanımı konusunda uzman desteğine ihtiyaç duydukları vurgulanmaktadır. Çalışma, özel eğitimde yardımcı teknolojilerin daha verimli kullanılması için öğretmenlerin eğitim ve teknik destek ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasının önemine dikkat çekmektedir.</p></abstract>
