Early childhood intervention services are recognized as the fundamental right of children and their parents under “The Declaration of the Rights of the Child”. Although the importance of early intervention services is known, there are some problems in the attendance of parents. The aim of the study is to examine the participation of parents who are directed/invited to early intervention support. The parental attendance of two different early intervention projects in 2018-2019 was examined. Sixty-eight (69.3%) parents of 98 of the low-risk group and 53 (96.3%) parents of 55 of the high-risk group accepted to participate in the study. Parents who rejected to participate EI often cited the problems of transportation and permission to work. Parents who dropped out cited problems of infections and permission to work. The present study examined the barriers to access early intervention services. It is important that most of the detected factors can be changeable.
