It is possible to get many historical factors that accelarate and support the nationalisation process of Turkish Republic. One can claim that one of the strongest factors is the Population Exchange agreement signed on 30th January, 1923 and started to be applied then. Doubtlessly, the effect of that migration on Turkey’s social, culturel, political and financial development processes is more comprehensive and deeper. The objective of this study is to analyse the effects of Turkish- Greek population exchange on the formation of national economy and to introduce the positive and negative contributions of them on the process.
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin uluslaşma sürecini hızlandıran ve besleyen, çok sayıda tarihî etken bulmak olanaklıdır. Bu etkenlerin en güçlülerinden birisi de, 30 Ocak 1923’te imzalanan ve bu tarihten sonra uygulanmasına başlanan zorunlu göç, mübadele olduğu söylenebilir. Kuşkusuz bu göçün Türkiye’nin toplumsal, kültürel, siyasî ve iktisadî gelişme süreçlerine etkisi çok daha kapsamlı ve derindir. Bu çalışma ile de amaçlanan, Türk-Yunan Nüfus Mübadelesi’nin. Türkiye’nin millî iktisat yaratmadaki etkilerini incelemek ve bu sürece - olumlu, olumsuz- katkılarını ortaya koymaktır.
