                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>During the course of earlier studies on the crania and teeth of the Chalcolithic and Copper Age inhabitants of Anatolia, I had come across some specimens with permanent teeth in the process of eruption. In view of this I decided to study the order of eruption of the permanent teeth in the available material. Most of the material studied is preserved in the Division of Palaeoanthropology of the University of Ankara, a few in the Alaca Höyük Museum in Çorum,  and some, those from Troy, in the Museum of Antiquities in Istanbul</p></abstract>
