Bedesten is one of the most important buildings of the Trabzon's traditional bazaar, it has been described in different tüimes by voyager who visited Trabzon, and newly researchers have studied there. On the contrary to the prevailing style its walls were high and strong to stand second floor in addition it was formed by an unprecedented top covering. Therefore the bedesten drawn attentions particularly and in this opinion different thought come up with by the researches. So whole o the estimation and commentary for bedesten's problems are considered, buildings set up of mass and typology of plan contrast with same time practice but in general we can say the bedesten is show attribute of early Turkish time bulid.
Eyice, Trabzon bedesteninin mimari özellikleri ve çözüm bekleyen problemleri bakımından bütün bedestenler arasında tek örnek olduğunu söyler(1). Duvarlarının ikinci bir kata imkan verecek kadar yüksek tutulmuş olması ve eşine başka yerde rastlanmayan bir üst örtüyle biçimlenmesi, yapıyı benzerlerinden ayıran en önemli özellikler olarak nitelendirilmiştir.
