Öz

Brill yayınevinin The Ottoman Empire and its Heritage serisinin yirminci kitabı olan bu eser, Macar tarihçilerinin Macar topraklarındaki Osmanlı hakimiyetinin daha çok askeri boyutunu ele aldıkları makaleleri bir araya getirmektedir. Bir takdim, giriş, iki bölümden oluşan kitap, yedi ayrı konuda ancak birbirlerini tamamlayıcı mahiyette makaleden ibaret olup iki tanınmış Macar türkoloğu Geza David ve Pal Fodor editörlüğünde hazırlanmıştır. Aynı ikili daha önce de yine aynı özellikte olan Hungarian-Ottoman Military and Diplomatic Relations in the Age of Süleyman the Magnificent (Budapest 1994) başlıklı kitabın editörlüğünü de yapmışlardı. Bir bakıma bu iki kitap birbirini tamamlayıcı bir mahiyettedir.
