Abstract

ihtiyacı hissettiğinde olumsuz duygular yaşamakta ve % 48,8’i şarj bitme

The Role of Charging-Out Anxiety and Negative Emotions Related to Charging Needs in Mobile Application Energy Consumption Expectations: A Research in Kırıkkale Province

Year 2019, Volume: 11 Issue: 2, 677 - 684, 30.06.2019

Abstract

Smartphone batteries, which are an important
element of quality and usability for consumers, and the problems caused by
battery discharge have recently took attention of researchers. In this
research, effect of experienced negative emotions in the face of the need to
charge, and anxiety about the discharge of the battery, on the energy
consumption expectations of smartphone users are examined. In this context,
primary data were collected from 312 smartphone users by convenience sampling
method in Kırıkkale province and evaluated with statistical analysis method. As
a result of the research, 31,4 % of the participants have high expectation
about energy consupmtion of mobile applications, 33,9 % have nagative emotions
when they feel the need to charge and % 48,8 feel worry about running out of
charge. In addition to this, it is determined that the anxiety about the
discharge and the negative emotions when there is need for charging are the
factors affecting the energy consumption expectations of mobile applications.
Therefore, it is concluded that energy consumption features are important
factor in mobile application design.
