Application of Clear up Strips for Notoedric Mange Diagnosis in a Cat

Abstract

In the present article precise diagnosis of Notoedric mange by use of a noise clear up (pore) strips in a cat was described. A 1.5 years old cat was admitted to the present authors’ clinic with head shaking, pruritus and auricular debris formation. noise clear up (pore) strip was sticked to the auricular cavity following squeezing, followed by cotton swab sampling onto the same localization for comparative diagnosis. Both techniques revealed presence of Notoedric mange, in which 9 versus 6 adult mites were evident, respectively. Eprinomectin was prescribed intraauricularly for a total of 4 application per week, which resulted in parasitological (no live mite) and clinical cure at the beginning on week 1.

Kedide Notoedrik Uyuzun Teşhisinde Temizleyici Bant Uygulaması

Öz

Bu vaka sunumunda bir kedide notoedrik uyuz kesin tanısında burun temizleme bandının kullanımı tanımlandı. Bir buçuk yaşlı kedi baş sallama, kaşıntı ve kulak kanalında kirli akıntı şikayetleri ile kliniğimize getirildi. Kulak kanalından koton svap uygulaması ile örnek alındıktan sonra karşılaştırma amacıyla burun temizleme bandı kulak kanalı iki parmak arasında sıkıştırılarak yapıştırıldı. Her iki tanı tekniğinde de koton svap ile 6 burun bant ile 9 yetişkin akar tespit edilerek notoedrik uyuz tanısı konuldu. Haftada bir kez olmak üzere toplamda 4 kez intraaurikular eprinomektin uygulaması reçete edildi ve 1. hafta eprinomektin uygulamasıyla beraber gerçekleştirilen parazitolojik muayenede canlı akar görülmemesi ve klinik iyileşme başladığı görüldü.
