Social service activities, that is stated as “Art that rescues humans from trouble”, can not be thought independently from ethics principle. Social work ethics that comes up this point provide management of social service as a part of ethics principles such as justice, fairness, equality, responsibility. This formed framework is also effective to block possible ethical intrusions. In other words, this prevents also the possibility of social work to be non-ethical in itself. In the light of this given information, this work is intended to emphasize the importance of social work ethics
“İnsanları sıkıntıdan kurtarma sanatı” olarak ifade edilen sosyal hizmet faaliyetleri etik ilkelerden bağımsız düşünülemez. Bu noktada gündeme gelen sosyal hizmet etiği, sosyal hizmetin adalet, dürüstlük, eşitlik, sorumluluk gibi etik ilkeler çerçevesinde yürütülmesini sağlamaktadır. Oluşturulan bu çerçeve aynı zamanda yaşanabilecek etik ihlâllerin engellenmesinde de etkili olmaktadır. Diğer bir ifadeyle sosyal hizmetin başlı başına etik dışı bir uygulamaya dönüşme ihtimalinin de önüne geçilebilmektedir. Verilen bu bilgiler ışığında çalışma, sosyal hizmet etiğinin önemini vurgulamayı amaçlamaktadır
