Troia Medical Journal is published three times a year by the Faculty of Medicine of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. Medicine is a discipline which develops at an unprecedented pace. Medical journals published in our country with icreasing numbers every year play an important role herein.The increasing number of medical journals which find a place in prestigious international indexes will undoubtfully bring a better scientific rank for Turkey throughout the world. As being one of the most significant universities in Turkey, we began to publish Troia Medical Journal to gain a seat for Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in this environment.
The most important mission of our journal is to increase the contribution of our country to global medical developments. In this respect, our main goal is to publish a journal which is easily accessible by medical scientists, prestigious and credible, focused on current and interesting the issues, and adopts principle of good arbitration. The objective of Troia Medical Journal is to contribute to medical knowledge by publishing clinical and experimental research studies performed in accordance with ethical rules, case reports and reviews, letters to the editor, and editorials. As required by the publication principles of the journal, all manuscripts are evaluated by independent, unbiased and double-blind arbitration. The target group of the journal consists of academicians working in medicine and related healthcare field both in Turkey and in the world.
The most important vision of our journal is to become a prestigious, influential, and leading medical journal which is indexed in Medline and Science Citation Index, and watched with interest by scientists all over the world. To achieve these objectives, the instructions of International Committee of Medical Journal Editors-ICMJE, World Association of Medical Editors-WAME, Council of Science Editors-CSE, European Association of Science Editors-EASE, and Committee on Publication Ethics-COPE are followed as regards the publication policies of the journal.
