Since 2009, I have been working on building energy efficiency and environmental sustainability issues. I have been involved in many projects about building energy modeling, energy efficient building design, green building consultancy, designing of HVAC and renewable energy systems and environmental sustainability issues. Besides, I have been training and publishing on these topics for more than 10 years. Up till now, I have worked in many different firms which are both national and international such as ICAT, EKOMIM and ARUP and I have been assigned to perform the improvement of building energy performance, green building consultancy, the analysis of cost-optimum energy efficiency, HVAC system and integrated lighting design by using detailed dynamic simulation tools (EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, EnergyPro, IES-VE, TRNSYS and Relux). In these firms, I have become experienced to design many complex and multi-functional building typologies such as office building, plant, shopping center, museum, sport center, dormitory, hospital, congress center and airport. Moreover, I have contributed to earn points and get credits for many kinds of these buildings within the scope of green building energy certification such as LEED, BREEAM and ESTIDAMA. Therefore, I am also experienced to prepare necessary reports and narratives on water efficiency, reduction of light pollution, improvement of indoor air quality and thermal comfort, storm-water design, eco-friendly refrigerants, lighting design, measurement and verification, and etc… Additionally, I have been part as a consultant in both design and energy improvement of the first plus energy building in Turkey.

After my Ph.D education, I worked as a lecturer in Department of Architecture in Girne American University between 2019 and 2021. I taught courses on building environment, energy efficient building design, sustainable lighting design, thermal comfort and green building certification. Since November 2021, I have been working in Architectural Department of Istanbul Aydin University as assistant professor. Nowadays, I have been writing an article on determination cost-optimum energy efficiency level for HVAC systems of high-rise residential buildings.
