Bio
Berna Terzi Eskin received her BA in Turkish Language and Literature at Istanbul University in 2014. She received her MA with the thesis titled “Cultural and Moral Confusion in Halid Ziya Uşaklıgil’s Novel Characters” in 2017 and PhD degree with her thesis titled “Fictions of Femininity in Turkish Literature (1870-1908)” in 2024 at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. She was entitled to receive TUBITAK 2214-A International Research Fellowship Programme for PhD Students and was a visiting researcher at The Ohio State University Department of Classics for one year under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gregory Jusdanis. Since 2017, she has been working as a research assistant at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature.
Research Interests: modern Turkish literature, gender and literature, sociology of literature, periodicals.
