Born and raised in Ankara, Duygu Çağla Bayram (@drcagla_) holds a PhD in International Relations from Karadeniz Technical University, with specialisation in India's Foreign Policy. She is native speaker of Turkish, and speaks advanced English and basic Spanish. She has travelled, lived and experienced socio-cultural and intellectual life extensively in the UK and Europe. In addition, she has been in Sochi, Russia as part of an international academic conference on tourism for a brief period. She is passionate about researching, reading, writing, learning, and travelling. Her research interests include international relations and Indo-Pacific studies/ India's politicies. She has published several academic journal articles, book chapters, and an academic book. She occasionally analyses breaking developments in India for national and international popular outlets and contributes with commentaries to various radio, TV and YouTube channels. Dr. Bayram is the author of Çalkantılı Sularda Yeni Rota: Hint-Pasifik Anlatısı ve Hindistan (Eng: New Course in Turbulent Waters: The Indo-Pacific Narrative and India, Ankara: Nobel, 2021).
