Bio
Dr. Esra Enes’s bachelor's degree is in Clothing Industry Teaching also she has a master's degree in the same program. She had a doctoral degree in Design Studies Ph.D. program as a full scholarship student from İzmir University of Economics. She has been a lecturer at the Fashion Design Department at Tarsus University, since 2019, She started to academy as a lecturer in the Textile Department of Amasya University in 2011. Before academic position, she had experience in the fashion industry as an intern.
Dr Enes has published numerous papers and research articles, and presented at conferences about zero-waste fashion design and sustainable fashion design methods. In addition, she has presented two solo exhibitions “Woman in the Red” and “Living Denim, It’s Me” and she attended a lot of group exhibitions. The exhibition “Living Denim, It’s Me” was created by upcycling denim and zero-waste fashion design methods.
Dr Enes has recently been awarded a 9-month postdoctoral research grant by the Turkish Research Institute to research “A Zero Waste Fashion Design Analysis Using Sensory Evaluation on Consumer Perception” in the University of Leeds.
