Dr Essia Ries Ahmed ABU RIES is currently working as an assistant. Professor of Accountancy at Karabuk University. He is an instructor (trainer) in a training program prepared by the International Center for Training and Development (ICTD) in Kuala Lumpur. He is an Auditor and a member of the Iraq Institute of Accountants. Dr Essia Ries received his bachelor’s degree in commercial science from Baghdad College of Economic Science University, and a master’s degree in Accounting from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He received his PhD from the University Malaysia Perlis (UniMap). Dr Essia's primary research interests concern financial reporting, accounting, and Islamic finance. He has published articles in the Journal of Accounting and Business and Islamic Accounting and Business Research. And proceedings and presented papers at both national and international conferences. Dr Essia Ries is the reviewer and member of the editorial board of several Journals.
