Dr. Hasan Gençoğlu is an Associate Professor at Fırat University, affiliated with the Faculty of Science, Department of Biology. He graduated from the Biology Department of Fırat University Faculty of Science in 2006 and began working as a Research Assistant in the same department in 2007. Dr. Gençoğlu completed his Master's degree in Molecular Biology at Fırat University Faculty of Science in 2009 and obtained his Ph.D. in the same field in 2013.

In 2013, he was awarded the TÜBİTAK 2219 Overseas Postdoctoral Research Grant, and during the second term of 2013, he received support to conduct research at King’s College London (UK) in the field of endocrine biology for 12 months, spanning from 2014 to 2015. In recognition of his contributions, he was granted the title of Associate Professor by ÜAK in 2021.

Dr. Gençoğlu has an extensive publication record with 29 articles published in journals indexed in SCI and SCI-Expanded. As of January 2024, his H-index on Web of Science is 15. Additionally, he has authored a chapter in an English-language book. Apart from his academic achievements, Dr. Gençoğlu has actively participated as a researcher in both national and international projects.

Proficient in English, Dr. Gençoğlu is married and a father of two children. His academic journey, international research experience, and contributions to scientific literature underscore his commitment to the field of Molecular Biology, particularly in the realm of endocrine biology.
