Mete Han Arıtürk initially started pursuing his B.A. degree at the Department of Economics at Middle East Technical University; however, he completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Philosophy at Ankara University after changing his field of research. He completed his graduate studies at Dokuz Eylül University at the Department of Philosophy with his master's degree titled " Niccolò Machiavelli in the Context of Politics, Virtue and Liberty" and his doctoral thesis on Axel Honneth and the Debates on Recognition, titled "Normative and Methodological Quest in the Critical Theory”. He was a visiting researcher at Ruhr and Stuttgart Universities in Germany on a doctoral scholarship in 2018.
Arıtürk is currently working at Dokuz Eylül University as an Assistant Professor, specializing in the fields of philosophy of technology, philosophy of education, and especially in political and social philosophy.
