Bio
Pınar Pamukçu Albers (Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture) has 15 years of international experience in the field of landscape ecology, natural resource management and environmental conservation. Her specialist areas of knowledge are quantification and mapping of ecosystem services; changes of landscape patterns and their impacts on natural resources; urban resilience through blue-green infrastructure; hydro-ecology based approaches; hydrologic risk modelling; hydrological responses to land use change and climate change; optimization and data analysis of soil, groundwater and surface water load; and remote sensing and GIS based modelling. In addition, she is part of the UNFCCC roster of experts for technical review of GHG Inventory (LULUCF), biennial reports and national communications, and for technical analysis of biennial update reports. She is currently researching ecosystem services of renaturation areas and conducting a vulnerability analysis to cope with flood events through her work at the University of Bonn. At the same time, she teaches courses at bachelor and master level, and supervises student theses.
