Şenay Açıkgöz is a Professor of Econometrics at the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. She received her Ph. D. in Econometrics from Gazi University in 2007. She was a visiting professor and adjunct faculty at Lally School of Management and Technology in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy-NY) for one year. Her research involved using econometric methods for analyzing macroeconomic problems related to economic growth of countries, business cycles of individual countries and microeconomic problems in health, finance, sports economics, and political science. She has published over 30 articles including 1 book chapter, 20 peer-reviewed journals, 18 peer-reviewed international conference proceedings.
