Abstract
The Next Revolution: Popular Assemblies and the Promise of Direct Democracy, orijinal ismiyle 2015 yılında yayınlanan bu eser Debbie Bookchin ve Blair Taylor tarafından yayına hazırlanarak okuyuculara sunulmuştur. Eserin önsözü Ursula K. Le Guin tarafından kaleme alınmış ve toplamda dokuz bölümden oluşmuştur. Bookchin, halk meclislerinin toplumu beşeri yönde dönüştürücü gücüne ekolojik beledî bir projeyle yaklaşmaktadır. Kapitalizmin yerelden küresele uzanan yıkıcı etkisinden kurtulma konusunda halk meclislerine birtakım görevler düşmektedir. Özellikle yerel çehrede komünalist bir projeyle kapitalizmin yıkıcı etkisinden kurtulmak mümkündür. Bu projenin yaygın bir etki yaratması adına akılcı, yerel demokrasi temasında liberter beledî bir ekosistem oluşturmak artık kaçınılmazdır. Bookchin'in tezahür ettiği proje, tahrip olan ekolojinin doğrudan demokrasiyle yeniden sorgulanmasını mümkün kılmaktadır.
Abstract
The Next Revolution: Popular Assemblies and the Promise of Direct Democracy, originally published in 2015, was edited by Debbie Bookchin and Blair Taylor. The foreword is written by Ursula K. Le Guin and consists of nine chapters in total. Bookchin focuses on the power of popular assemblies to transform society in human terms. Bookchin also presents an ecological and democratic local project. People's assemblies have a number of tasks in overcoming the destructive effects of capitalism from local to global. It is possible to get rid of the destructive effects of capitalism with a communalist project, especially in the local context. In order for this project to have a widespread impact, it is now inevitable to create a rational, libertarian municipal ecosystem on the theme of local democracy. Bookchin's project makes it possible to re-examine the destroyed ecology through direct democracy.
