Abstract

Meckel divertulitis is the most common congenital gastrointestinal anomaly, with a prevalence of 2-3% in the community (1). Although most of the time it is diagnosed incidentally during the operation, its inflammation can cause many serious life-threatening complications. In this study, we present a 54-year-old male patient with internal herniation due to Meckel's diverticulitis on the 3rd day after cholecystectomy and ileus developing during follow-up.
