About
The Aegean Journal of Medical Sciences is the official, peer-reviewed, open-access, scientific publication of the Uşak Surgical Association. The journal is published three times a year (April, August, December) and accepts manuscripts in Turkish and English.
Access and Licensing
The journal operates in full accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), ensuring free, unrestricted, and permanent online access to all its content. No Article Processing Charges (APCs) or subscription fees are required from authors or readers.
Since its second issue in 2018, all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license permits users to share, copy, and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given to the original source.
Scope
The Aegean Journal of Medical Sciences accepts the following article types covering all aspects of basic, internal, and surgical medical sciences:

• Letters to the editor
Ethical Standards
