Journal Language

The journal's publication languages are Turkish and English. Articles in Turkish include English abstracts. During article preparation, authors may refer to the Turkish Language Association (www.tdk.gov.tr) for Turkish words and Turkish Medical Terminology (www.tipterimleri.com) for technical terms.

Authorship Criteria

After an article is accepted for publication, all authors are required to sign the "Copyright Transfer Form":
"We, the undersigned authors, guarantee that the submitted article is original; has not been submitted to another journal for publication; has not been published previously; and if any part has been published before, all necessary permissions have been obtained for its publication in the aforementioned journal and sent to the Editorial Office of Ege Journal of Medical Sciences along with the original copyright transfer form."

Ege Journal of Medical Sciences adheres to the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors' (ICMJE) "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication" standards. The "Information for Authors" content has been prepared using this version. Related information can be found at www.icmje.org.

Identifying information and photographs cannot be published without the patient's (or legal guardian's) written informed consent. The statement "Written informed consent was obtained from the patient (or legal guardian) for publication of medical data" must be included in the article text.

Ege Journal of Medical Sciences reminds authors that studies involving experimental animals must comply with generally accepted ethical rules. Ethics Committee Approval must be uploaded to the system with the article.
