Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Kariyer Kararlılığı Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, spor bilimleri alanında öğrenim gören üniversite öğrencilerinin kariyer kararlılığının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırma verileri, 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılı Güz döneminde, Gazi Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğrenim gören toplam 206 öğrencinin katılımı sonucunda toplanmıştır. Çalışmada Lounsbury ve ark. (1999) tarafından geliştirilen, Akçakanat ve Uzunbacak (2019) tarafından Türkçe uyarlaması, geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılan Kariyer Kararlılığı Ölçeği kullanımıştır. Ölçek 6 madde ve tek boyutlu bir yapıya sahiptir. Çalışma kapsamında ölçeğin yüksek güvenirlik dizeyinde olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışma, nicel araştırma modelleri arasında yer alan genel tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada katılımcıların cinsiyet, bölüm, sınıf, aktif spor yapma ve öğrenim gördüğü bölümden memnuniyet durumlarına göre kariyer kararlılık düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları incelendiğinde yaş, cinsiyet, bölüm ve spor yapma durumlarına göre kariyer kararlılık düzeylerinin anlamlı bir fark oluşturmadığı görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte katılımcıların kariyer kararlılık düzeylerinin sınıf ve bölüm memnuniyeti değişkenleri açısından anlamlı fark oluşturduğu görülmüştür (p<.05).

Examining the Career Decidedness Levels of Students of Sport Sciences Faculty

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the career decidedness of sport sciences faculty students in terms of various variables. The research data was collected as a result of the participation of a total of 206 students studying at Gazi University Sport Sciences Faculty in the Fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. In the study, the career decidedness scale developed by Lounsbury et al. (1999), Turkish adaptation, validity and reliability study by Akçakanat and Uzunbacak (2019) was used. The scale has 6 items and a one-dimensional structure. Within the scope of the study, it was observed that the scale was at a high level of reliability. The study was carried out in the general survey model, which is among the quantitative research models. In the study, the career decidedness levels of the participants were examined according to their gender, department, class, active sport career and satisfaction with the department they studied. When the study results were examined, it was seen that there was no significant difference in career decidedness levels according to age, gender, department and sports activities. However, it was observed that the career decidedness levels of the participants made a significant difference in terms of class and department satisfaction variables (p<.05).
