BIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF ARTICLES PUBLISHED IN THE FIELD OF MUSEOLOGY (2000-2022)

Abstract

This study aims to trace the development of sustainable practices related to museology in the literature between 2000 and 2022. In line with this purpose, the study covers the studies on "museums and museology" published in the Web of Science (WoS) database. The indexes scanned in the WoS database are the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), which covers 160 disciplines; the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) in the field of social sciences; the Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI/AHCI) in the field of natural sciences, social sciences, and arts, the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in the field of natural sciences and social sciences. The study analyzed data from 1118 academic studies using VOSviewer software and visualized it in graphs, maps, and tables. According to the results of the analysis, it was found that the keywords "museology, museum, and museums" were most often used in the studies conducted in the field of museology. It was found that the author with the most publications was "Tisliar, P." and the most cited authors were "Gray, C." and "Mccall, V.". The journal that published the most articles on museology was "Muzeologia a Kulturne Dedisctvo-Museology and Cultural Heritage." The journal that received the most citations was "Museum Management and Curatorship." It was determined that the institution with the highest number of inter-institutional studies was "Comenius University" and the institution with the highest number of citations was "Warwick University." It was determined that the country with the highest number of publications in the field of museology is "Slovakia.

MÜZECİLİK ALANINDA YAYIMLANAN MAKALELERİN BİBLİYOMETRİK ANALİZİ (2000-2022 YILLARI)

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, müzecilik ile ilgili sürdürülebilir uygulamaların alan yazınındaki 2000-2022 yılları arası gelişiminin izlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma, Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanında yayımlanan “müze ve müzecilik” konulu çalışmaları kapsamaktadır. WoS veri tabanında taranan indeksler,160 disiplini kapsayan Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), sosyal bilimler alanındaki Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), fen bilimleri, sosyal bilimler ve sanat alanındaki Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI/AHCI), fen bilimleri ve sosyal bilimler alanındaki dergileri kapsayan Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada, 1118 akademik çalışmadan elde edilen veriler, VOSviewer yazılımı ile analiz edilmiş olup grafikler, haritalar ve tablolar halinde görselleştirilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre araştırmada müzecilik alanında yapılan çalışmalarda en fazla “müzecilik, müze ve müzeler” anahtar kelimelerinin kullanıldığı ortaya çıkmıştır. En fazla yayın yapan yazarın “Tisliar, P.” olduğu, en fazla atıf alanların ise “Gray, C.” ve “Mccall, V.” adlı yazarlar olduğu belirlenmiştir. Müzecilik konulu en fazla makale yayınlayan derginin “Muzeologia a Kulturne Dedisctvo-Museology and Cultural Heritage”; en fazla atıf alanın ise “Museum Management and Curatorship” dergisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kurumlar arası en çok çalışmaya sahip olan kurumun “Comenius Üniversitesi”; en fazla atıf alan kurumun ise “Warwick Üniversitesi” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Müzecilik alanında en fazla yayın yapan ülkenin ise “Slovakya” olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
