Abstract

The increasing use of information communication technologies in the organizational field has increased the need to investigate the effect of the use of information communication technologies on employee behavior and attitudes. In this context, research is conducted in Bolu Oral and Dental Health Center due to the intense use of information and communication technologies in health services. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of personal assistance, which affects the use of information and communication technologies in healthcare professionals, on job satisfaction and burnout. The sample of the study consists of 130 healthcare professionals. In the study where the quantitative method is preferred, data are collected through a survey. Correlation analysis is performed to determine the relationships between the research variables. As a result of the correlation analysis, a positive relationship is determined between personal assistance as an information and communication source and job satisfaction. Among the burnout dimensions with personal assistance, a relationship is found only with the efficiency dimension, but no significant relationship is found with other variables (emotional exhaustion, cynicism, inefficiency). A positive relationship is found between the efficiency dimension and job satisfaction. Structural equation models were established to test the research hypotheses. It is found that personal assistance affects job satisfaction and efficiency, and efficiency affects job satisfaction. As a result of these findings, the mediating role of efficient is investigated, and it is concluded that efficiency has a mediating role in the effect between personal assistance and job satisfaction.
