Plagiarism Screening

The similarity rate of the articles uploaded to our journal is determined with the iThenticate /Turnitin program. A Similarity report is generated by comparing iThenticate/Turnitin with the national and international database. In this report, without taking into account the texts written in quotation marks, the percentage that the content of the written text is the same or very close to the existing texts is given.

The editorial board of our Defense Sciences journal applies the following rules in accordance with our plagiarism policy;

- Articles with a similarity rate of more than 15% are rejected. In such cases, the author/s are requested to revise and upload the article again.

- Only articles with a similarity rate of ≤ 15% are included in the double-blind peer review process.

- All authors who upload an article to the Journal of Defense Sciences are deemed to have accepted the rules mentioned above.
