Koruyucu Diş Hekimliğinde Florürlerin Kullanımında Değişen Bakış Açısı

Abstract

Diş sağlığı konusunda hastalar ve diş hekimlerinin artan
farkındalıklarına rağmen, bilgi ve tutumlarının iyileştirilmesi halen gereksinim
duyulan konulardan biridir. Hastalar için ağız sağlığının öneminin anlaşılması
son yıllarda dişlerin remineralizasyon ajanları ve ürünlerindeki artışla
birlikte görülmüştür. Buna eş zamanlı olarak, in vivo ve in vitro dişlerin
remineralizasyon ve demineralizasyonlarına yönelik çalışmalarının yayınlanması
da sürdürülmüştür. Florürlerin uzun yıllardır minenin çözünmesini azaltarak ve
minenin remineralizasyon işlevini arttıran ve bu yolla diş minesinin çürükten
korunmasında etkili olan bir ajan olduğu bilinmektedir. Florür tedavilerinin
genelde diş minesinin demineralizasyondan korunması ve remineralizasyonunun
arttırılmasına yardımcı olarak etkili oldukları açıktır. Bu makalenin amacı,
florür tedavileri ile diş remineralizasyonununda değişen bilgi ve yaklaşımın
gözden geçirilmesidir.
