Abstract

Kentsel açık-yeşil alanların kent açısından önemli parçalarından biri de botanik bahçeleridir. Botanik bahçeler bitki türlerini koruma altına alan, kullanıcıları doğayla buluşturan, çeşitli eğitim alanları oluşturan laboratuvar görevi üstlenen alanlardır. Botanik bahçe kullanıcılarının memnuniyet seviyeleri üzerine aktivite çeşitliliği, kullanıcı yoğunluğuna göre ihtiyaçların karşılanma potansiyeli, bitki türü çeşitliliği önemli etkenlerden bazılarıdır.
Bu çalışmada kullanıcıların Ata Botanik Bahçesinden memnuniyet durumunu ortaya koymak amacı ile bahçeye gelen 170 Kişi ile bire bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Alanı ziyaret edenlerin botanik bahçe içerisindeki yeşil dokudan memnun oldukları, kendilerini güvende hissettiklerini (%82,8), alanı doğal bulduklarını (%42,9) bununla beraber hizmet kalitesinin ve aktivite alanlarının yetersiz olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Bunun yanı sıra kentte bulunan diğer açık-yeşil alanlardan ayıran en önemli üç özelliğinin geniş açık-yeşil alanların olması (%21,9), huzurlu (%20,4) ve doğala yakın mekânlardan oluşması (%15,3) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen katılımcı görüşleri doğrultusunda bazı önerilere yer verilmiştir.

Determination of User Satisfaction of Atatürk Üniversity Ata Botanical Garden

Abstract

One of the important parts of urban open-green areas for the city is botanical gardens. Botanical gardens are areas that protect plant species, bring users together with nature, and serve as laboratories that create various educational areas. Activity diversity, the potential to meet needs according to user density, and plant species diversity are some of the important factors on the satisfaction levels of botanical garden users.
In this study, a one-on-one survey was conducted with 170 people who came to the garden in order to reveal the users' satisfaction with the Ata Botanical Garden. Those who visited the area were satisfied with the green texture in the botanical garden, they felt safe (82.8%), they found the area natural (42.9%), but they stated that the service quality and activity areas were insufficient. In addition, it has been determined that the three most important features that distinguish it from other open-green areas in the city are large open-green areas (21.9%), peaceful (20.4%) and close to nature spaces (15.3%). Some suggestions are included in line with the participant opinions obtained.
