Abstract

In this study, in which the length-length and length-weight relationship of the European anchovy population distributed in the İzmir Bay were studied according to the seasons and sexes, a total of 905 individuals were obtained from commercial fishermen caught in the bay between September 2020 and August 2021. Of 843 individuals whose sexes were determined, 35% were male and 65% female. The mean total length of the population was 11.42±0.048 cm; mean weight value is 9.19±0.163 g. Length-weight relationship equation for female, male and all individuals of the species, respectively: W=0.0027*TL3.321 (r2=0.933); W=0.0042*TL3.132 (r2=0.925); It was calculated as W=0.0030*TL3.272 (r2=0.931). As a result, positive allometric growth was determined in female, male and all individuals of the population. In addition, it was determined that the length-length relationship parameters calculated for all individuals were highly correlated (r²>0.959, P<0.05).

Abstract

İzmir Körfezi’nde dağılım gösteren Hamsi popülasyonunun boy- ağırlık ve boy-boy ilişkisinin mevsimlere ve eşeylere göre çalışıldığı bu araştırmada Eylül 2020-Ağustos 2021 periyodunda körfezde avlanan ticari balıkçılardan toplam 905 adet birey elde edilmiştir. Eşeyi belirlenen 843 adet bireyin %35’i erkek %65’i dişi olarak saptanmıştır.
